AENA's Brazil Wins Strengthen Its Footprint in Latin America

The airports operated by AENA in Spain, the United Kingdom and Brazil saw a strong recovery from the pandemic in 2022. AENA Group’s passenger traffic increased to 270.7 million (up 98.5% on 2021), which implies a recovery of 88.1% of the traffic in 2019.
AENA's airports in Spain saw a total passenger throughput of 243.7 million in 2022, which was a 103.1% increase compared to the throughput for the same period in 2021, and 88.6% of the pre-pandemic levels in 2019.
London Luton Airport in the United Kingdom had a passenger throughput of 13.1 million passengers in 2022, which was 186.5% higher than the throughput for the same period in 2021, and 72.8% of the pre-pandemic levels in 2019.
AENA's airports in Northeast Brazil, handled a total throughput of 13.9 million passengers in 2022, which was a 17.5% increase from the throughput in 2021. More importantly, AENA's airports in Northeast Brazil had reached full recovery from the pandemic in 2022, with passenger traffic in 2022 surpassing that of 2019 by 0.1%.
