Corporacion America Airports has seen steady improvement in passenger traffic across its airports for the first half of 2023.

While it has given up the Natal Airport concession in Brazil, and is also facing difficulties with its concessions in Nigeria, it appears to be largely on track with the expansion of many of its airports and its advance into the vertiports business.

In the first half of 2023, Corporacion America Airports saw a 33.8% year-on-year increase in passenger traffic at the airports under its management. The operator saw handled a total of 38.2 million passengers at its airports in the period, a significant growth from the 28.5 million passengers handled in the same period in 2022.

In June 2023, Corporacion America Airports handled 6.8 million passengers, a 32.4% year-on-year increase from the 5.1 million passengers handled in June 2022. More importantly, passenger traffic in June 2023 had surpassed that in pre-pandemic June 2019 by 2.6% for the first time.
