Korea Airport Corporation (KAC) is a South Korean airport operator with 14 airports in its portfolio located throughout South Korea. The company was established in 1980 to operate the Gimpo International Airport, then the main gateway to Seoul and South Korea.
Further to airport operations, KAC is also involved in Construction Management, Consulting and IT, with projects globally. It has thus far secured 16 overseas projects in countries such as Peru, Colombia and Cambodia.
The company is led by Mr Chang-Wan Son, a 65-year-old former government official with expertise in various roles within the South Korean police services. He has held the role since December 2018 where he was previously attached to the Korea Railroad Corporation (“KORAIL”).
KAC’s airport operations are currently limited to South Korea, where the company operates eight international airports and six domestic airports.
