TAV Airports has seen passenger traffic at its some of its locations surpassing past pre-pandemic 2019 levels in the first nine months of 2023.

In addition to the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, TAV Airports is looking at the opportunities in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Africa and Central Asia. In particular, it is interested in the concessions for Tivat and Podgorica Airports in Montenegro.

The group served a total of 74.6 million passengers across its airport locations in the first nine months of 2023, a 24% increase from the same period in 2022 and a 4% increase from the same period in 2019.

The TAV-operated airports that saw the most significant recovery from the pandemic in the first nine months of 2023 included Almaty Airport, where traffic for the period was 47% was higher than the same period in 2019, as well as the North Macedonian Airports of Skopje and Ohrid, which saw an increase in passenger traffic compared to first nine months by 15%.

Antalya Airport which handles close to 40% of the total passenger traffic of TAV-operated airports had a throughput of 28.9 million passengers in the first nine months of 2023, just 1% lower than that handled in the same period in 2019.
