Incheon International Airport Corporation - A Year of Expansion, Resilience, and Global Reach

Over the past 12 months, Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC) has experienced one of its most dynamic periods of growth and transformation since its establishment. Driven by a robust rebound in air traffic, strong financial performance, and a series of international project wins, the airport operator has reinforced its position as a leading global aviation hub and a rising international airport investor.
Passenger traffic through Incheon International Airport reached record levels in the first half of 2025. Between January and June, a total of 36.36 million passengers used the airport—the highest first-half figure in its history. Aircraft movements totalled 207,959, slightly up from the same period last year. This surge was primarily supported by a rapid rebound in short-haul travel, particularly to Japan and China. Passenger numbers on Japanese routes rose 9.3% year-on-year, while Chinese routes increased by 24.3%, following the introduction of a temporary visa waiver program. Long-haul markets, including North America and Europe, also maintained growth momentum, reinforcing the airport’s international connectivity.
