Brazil and India Remain as the Focus of Zurich Airport Group's Overseas Operations

In the first half of 2023, Zurich Airport Group saw a remarkable recovery in passenger traffic at the airports in its portfolio.
Among other achievements in the first half of 2023, the Group also made significant progress in the development of the Noida International Airport project and won the Natal Airport concession in Brazil.
Zurich Airport handled a total of 13.1 million passengers in the first half of 2023. This represents a year-on-year increase of 43.7% and is 88% of the passenger levels of the pre-COVID 19 year of 2019.

Apart from Iquique Airport, Zurich Airport Group’s other airports in Latin America – Florianopolis, Vitoria/Macae and Antogasta Airports – saw year-on-year growth rates of more than 10% in the first half of 2023.
In terms of financial performance, Zurich Airport Group generated a turnover of CHF576.7mn in the first half of 2023, which was a 25.8% increase from the turnover generated in the same period in the previous year.
The Group generated an EBITDA of CHF323.8mn and a consolidated result of CHF138.1mn in the first half of 2023, which were year-on-year growth rates of 35.9% and 149.3% respectively.
The return on average investment capital (ROIC) of Zurich Airport Group also saw an improvement from 2.9% in the first half of 2022 to 6.3% in the first half of 2023.
