A Merger Between Two GMR Group Entities Results in an Airport Pure-Player

Passenger traffic at GMR Group’s airports in India, Indonesia and the Philippines have seen a strong recovery from the pandemic. More significantly, the year 2024 will see the completion of the merger between GMR Airports Infrastructure Limited (GIL) and the unlisted GMR Airports Ltd (GAL), its joint venture with Aéroports de Paris (Groupe ADP).

@GMR Airports Infrastructure Limited Dec 2023 Monthly Investor Presentation
For YTD FY2024 (April – Dec 2023), the airports operated by GMR Group , including Medan Airport in Indonesia and Mactan Cebu International Airport in the Philippines, saw a 23.4% year-on-year increase in passenger traffic to 89.5 million.
About half of the increase in passenger traffic during the period was contributed by Delhi Airport, which saw 14% year-on-year growth to 54.5 million passengers.
At Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, passenger traffic grew by 21% year-on-year over the YTD FY2024 (April – Dec 2023) period.
