On Oct. 29, 2019, the City of Chapecó, under the authorization from the State Government and the Ministry of Infrastructurea, released a tender notice for expansion, management and maintenance of Serafim Enoss Bertaso Municipal Airport under a concession framework. The private investors are expected to committ at least USD36.5m into XAP over the life of the concession, including USD3.7m for terminal improvements/expansion early in the term. The minimum bid value payable to MoC has been set at USD650k.
