airport deal

United Kingdom – Newcastle

Operator // Newcastle International Airport Ltd. (NIAL)

Overview

Overview

In the latter half of May 2019, Australian fund manager AMP Capital was reportedly said to be considering sale of its 49% stake in NIAL, which it acquired from Copenhagen Airport in 2012 for a reported GBP150m. Despite continued Brexit uncertainty, the asset has seen higher than expected valuations. According to AMP, NCL is an “efficient non-regulated airport … dominant market position with a strong catchment area and a well balanced mix of airlines and routes … modern infrastructure with limited near term capex requirements … [NIAL has] strong governance rights with equal board representation … [and a] strong cash yield” history. In 2018, NIAL posted a GBP21.8m operating profit on GBP58m in revenues. Pension funds and other traditional institutional investors are expected to pursue the deal which is anticipated to transact at upwards of GBP500m.

The generated Lorem Ipsum is therefore always free from repetition, injected humour, or non-characteristic words etc.
