In February 2020, the Gov't of Brazil announced the planning of a 7th round of airport concessions encompassing 17 airports in three blocks; Sao Paulo – Matto Grosso do Sol (x6) with USD617.3m investment, Rio-Minas (x5) with USD408.5m investment and North II (x6) with USD314.7m investment, with expected investment of R$5.28b (USD1.3b). In mid-Jun. 2020, it was reported that the Gov’t of Minas Gerais State is undertaking a feasibility study for transfer of PLU from the federal gov’t to the State under a 35-year agreement, effective Dec. 31, 2020, which would result in the removal of PLU from the Rio-Minas Block.
